Olympic Ballet THEATRE

our principles

With their backgrounds in Russian Vaganova-based education and American professional careers, the Artistic Directors are dedicated to
giving their students a well-rounded education in a nurturing environment.

Though the emphasis remains on
classical ballet, other dance disciplines are included in the curriculum, and the faculty is selected with care. Highly acclaimed guest instructors are also invited to stimulate the classrooms, and inspire students to obtain their goals and reach their utmost potential.

what We Do

There are three programs offered at Olympic Ballet School, with classes
for all ages:

• DANCE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
• CLASSICAL BALLET DIVISION
• OPEN CLASS PROGRAM

Students in the highest levels of the Classical Ballet Division are selected to join Olympic Ballet School’s affiliated performing company, Olympic Ballet Theatre. With a full season of performances in Edmonds, Everett, and Arlington, the company performs beloved classics such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, & Coppélia, as well as new works created for them by today’s leading choreographers.

WHY WE SUCCEED

Performance opportunities with a carefully designed curriculum and a nurturing faculty are vital to the students’ progression, and are what make Olympic Ballet School a professional-quality school.

Individual care and attention is given to each student so that all students may reach their maximum potential. Limited class sizes ensure attention to each individual student and performance opportunities throughout the year provide public displays of each student’s growth.

A SHORT HISTORY

Celebrating its 30th anniversary last season, Olympic Ballet School maintains a long-established reputation as the leading school of classical ballet in the North Puget Sound. From its inception under John and Helen Wilkins, Olympic Ballet School has been committed to providing a thorough ballet education to its students, while instilling a life-long appreciation of the art form.

In June of 2011 former Pacific Northwest Ballet & Moscow Classical Ballet artists, Mara Vinson & Oleg Gorboulev, became the new Artistic Directors of Olympic Ballet Theatre & School. Under their direction, the school provides professional level training for all students, whatever their professional aspirations may be.
